I clearly remember that when I was planning to go abroad, I made a commitment with God that I will involve myself in the ministry of which I am called. So many reasons pop ups into my mind whenever I think of myself the ministry and my calling are all enough for me to really spend my life. And so when I took my first step into this foreign land, the first mission I took was to find a Pentecostal church. To my surprise, I found one and it is just nearby to my accomodation. Not only that, it is even an Assembly of God. The Pioneers
Of course, the next scenario was, I attended the church and I was so happy that I felt at home. I said to myself, Now, I know the feeling of, "home away from home". On the other hand, regardless of the joy I'm feeling inside, I also came to discover that two things might possible to happen to Filipinos going overseas. One is they come to know Jesus and the other is they will forget him. This truth adds to the burden in my heart to do ministry. However, I continued joining that chuech until some brethen from Benguet and Mt. Province and we always gather for a short time every after service, to know everyone's situation. And we just can't explain the joy and happiness we feel wheneve we see our "kabayans" in such gatherings.
